Little Jaws by Tara-bleArt Little Jaws by Tara-bleArt
Booyah!
Two down, one to go. I could get really used to this painting-without-lines style. Love the end results. :3

:bulletgreen: Totodile (Waninoko)
Height: 1'11.6" or 0.6m
Weight: 20.9 lbs or 9.5 kg
Type: Water
Summary: Despite the smallness of its body, Totodile's jaws are very powerful. While the Pokemon may think it is just playfully nipping, its bite has enough power to cause serious injury. Even its trainer must be careful.

Fantastic! My name for my Totodile, that later became Croconaw, and then finally Feraligator and I've had it since the beginning. I love this. Very nicely done :)

The Totdile looks great, but the egg looks a little deflated. I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to happen.

I was basing the egg on the design of most reptile eggs, which are more like soft sacks. As the babies leave they tend to collapse on themselves. ^_^

Well, I remember watching croc and alligators pick up and carry their eggs in their mouths. I don't think it would be too soft. I know that turtle shells aren't soft like that, despite them having to open it themselves.

Technically turtles do lay soft-shelled eggs- kinda like leather. I was mistaken in my earlier thoughts, however- most reptiles lay soft eggs, but crocodiles and alligators have a hard, calcified outer membrane which makes it closer to a bird's egg. I had to look it up there. ^^;

Anyway, thanks for pointing out my mistake. :D

lol You're welcome. I've always found it wierd that some eggs are so soft.

you use several layers dont you?
there are some party that are to obwiously cut^^
like the eye or the teeth
the look like affixed (? hope thats the right word)

thats caused from dismatching shadows and lights i think

but in general you did a great job and the creature is kinda cute aswell :3
so it looks nice :)

ceep up that style and you will be alot better soon :)

The teeth were a bit of a problem blending yes, but I left the slight outline to the eye on purpose. ^^; I was following the principle of light reflection that tends to outline round objects- especially in the case of the totodile here that doesn't show any obvious eyelids to shade the upper region of the eye. But I do see your point. Next time I'll keep it on the same layer to reduce the problem. :3

Thanks for the critique!
