Watching: Jacksepticeye playing "Escaping the Prison"
I apologize for the long silence. I figured I may as well let people know what has been happening.
My grandmother died. A few years back she had breast cancer and we all thought she had recovered from it, but a couple months ago it returned and cropped up into her spine. If any of you know a thing about cancer, then you understand how serious that is. She was in agony for weeks until finally passing. For the past couple of weeks I have been busy helping with funeral arrangements and tying up legal issues.
This event has highly damaged my trust in our medical system.
When my grandmother was first diagnosed with cancer she chose to have the breast tissue completely removed. As a result she decided to get implants in order to feel a little better about her appearance. Over and over again the doctors messed it up, one even admitting that he wasn't putting all of his effort into it. She was having teeth problems from the chemo so she had implants for those as well- the implants were improperly made and she always felt pain from their use. When the cancer came back she was passed from doctor to doctor, each either claiming there was nothing they could do or she 'didn't fit the requirements'- didn't fit the requirements for the CANCER CLINIC. Finally she was admitted to a hospital and not only did they forget about her at one point when she was in the emergency room, but they took forever to finally do something about the EXTREME PAIN she was in.
My grandmother was neglected by the medical system because she was older and had a challenging form of cancer to diagnose. Doctors would rather take in the easier cases and leave people like my grandmother all the time. Had they been willing to take her in it may have been caught earlier and they may have been able to do something about it. She may still be alive.
Why do doctors bother with their job if they don't actually care about the people they should be helping?
Regardless, I will be getting back into the swing of things so you can look forward to that. I have a new job as a health promotional consultant for a wellness firm so I've been settling into my new schedule and my time for working on art has suffered. I think I have it figured out now though.
